Failure Analysis

Metallurgical failure/ root causes analysis is the process by which a metallurgist determines the mechanism that has caused a metal components to fail. Typical failure modes involves various types of corrosion and mechanical damage.

 Failure/root cause analysis of components from industrial, marine, chemical, petrochemicals, refineries, oil, and gas fields, power plants etc. are carried out under the guidance of experts having  decades of practical experience and having international qualifications such as NACE, API etc. Advanced equipment such as Scanning Electron Microscope, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy and X-Ray diffraction are used in most of the failure investigations.
